How to connect to Windows EC2 instance?

The way we connect to the EC2 server is different for Windows and Linux EC2 servers.

1.       Navigate to EC2 instances in the AWS console.

 

2.       Select the windows instance, and click ‘connect’.

 

3.       Select ‘RDP client’ tab, and download the ‘Remote Desktop file’.

4.       Click on ‘Get Password’.

5.       Browse the key pair you had generated before, and select ‘Decrypt Password’. Follow this link for the steps to create a key pair.

6.       Copy the password.

7.       Next, launch the ‘Remote Desktop file’ that’s download in step 3. Enter the password and this will connect to the Windows EC2 machine.
